Job Description

Who We Are:
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is Austin's leading youth development agency currently serving more than 12,500 kids at 32 Clubs located in Travis and Bastrop Counties. Every day at the Clubs, stories unfold that show our staff, our families, and our Club kids the most important role of the
Boys & Girls Club:
to provide our kids with the opportunity to belong, to succeed, to serve their communities, and to share their voice with the world.
Position Objectives:
The Membership Ambassador will serve as a first point of contact representative of BGCAA's Home Club and membership programs and communicates the Home Club's programs, services, and mission, primarily focused on its growing membership. Ensures a safe environment for all at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hours between 3- 7 PM Disseminates information regarding our programs, services, and mission. Renews members and provide general member services. Records Management-Data enters membership transactions. Checks in and/or out youth attending Club adhering to procedures. Check in any guests using facilities in the evening. Customer service orientated and ability to communicate with guest Assist with any evening events.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with member events as needed. Maintains organization of membership materials and report when inventory is running low. Maintains all collections-related schedules Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Club area Attends staff meetings and training sessions as prescribed Maintain close daily contact with Club staff and Club members to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instruction. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED 1-year work experience in customer service working with diverse populations Bilingual/Spanish speaking required Must pass background check, reference check, and drug test Must be able to work and interact professionally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+years work experience in customer service working with diverse populations Proficient with basic office equipment Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others Proficient computer skills, experience using Raiser's Edge strongly preferred Experience processing membership transactions and data entry Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Exemplary written and spoken communication skills Demonstrates dependability, accountability, and cooperation
