- Full-time The Adult Family Home Council's (AFHC) mission is to improve the lives and well-being of vulnerable adults through the support of Adult Family Homes.
Position Description:
This position will understand and respond to individual member requests for assistance with issues ranging from care planning, regulatory guidance, business planning and more. This position will provide support through direct answers to questions and/or referrals to appropriate resources. This position will assist the Regulatory Director in coordinating efforts needed to support members in successful delivery of care and services based on issues such as common citations, survey of member needs, and topical issues. Required Qualifications and Job Skills- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in-person, over the phone, and via email, demonstrating patience and kindness.
- Proficiency in answering phones, faxes, and e-mails, and use of Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Flexible with office duties
- Work hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, however there may be some extended hours for AFHC hosted conferences and lobby day, and other events
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with members, coworkers, and external stakeholders.

AFH Experience:
at least one year of experience with/knowledge of Adult Family Homes and their regulations/work. Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and government regulatory environment
- Familiarity with Adult Family Homes in Washington State, as a provider, caregiver, consultant or analyst.
- Experience working with long term care, elderly and/or developmentally disabled adults
- Care planning and/or caregiving Key Responsibilities
Member Assistance :
Respond to phone and email inquiries from members regarding AFHC services, resources, and industry-related questions. Engage members in ways that increase retention and satisfaction. Also participate in ongoing and outreach to new and potential members.Database Management :
Maintain accurate AFH provider information in the organization's database (Salesforce) and ensure that all updates are captured in real time.Problem Resolution:
Address member concerns, problems, or service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed.Event Coordination Support :
Assist in the coordination, planning and execution of member events, such as webinars, training events, regional chapter meetings and conferences for members, ensuring smooth operations and strong participant engagement.Feedback Collection :
Gather member feedback on services, events, and resources to continuously improve AFHC support services. Prepare and collect feedback from members on relevant issuesCollaboration :
Work closely with other departments to ensure members receive a seamless experience and accurate information. Education/Training- High school diploma or GED, or advanced learning

- Valid Driver's License Compensation for this position will range from $4200 to $5417 monthly dependent upon experience and qualifications.
