Part Time Merchandiser - Houseplants

Schedule 6-10 hours per week Flexible scheduling based on store needs Position Overview The Garden Center Merchandiser helps maintain attractive, organized, and well‑stocked indoor houseplant displays in retail garden centers. This part‑time role offers steady weekly hours, flexible scheduling, and hands‑on work in the indoor garden department. Key Responsibilities Merchandise indoor houseplants to maintain clean, organized, and appealing displays Stock and rotate inventory to ensure freshness, quality, and availability Remove damaged or unsellable items and keep display areas tidy Monitor inventory levels and submit mobile reports Follow merchandising guidelines, layouts, and plant‑care instructions Build positive working relationships with store personnel Work independently and manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks Additional Responsibilities Maintain clear communication with your supervisor regarding store conditions, completed tasks, and any issues Able to receive and follow instructions provided over the phone, as well as through text or mobile app when needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Retail, merchandising, or garden center experience helpful Basic indoor plant care knowledge a plus Reliable transportation Skills Strong attention to detail Good time management and independence Friendly, professional communication Ability to take direction both in person and telephonically Comfortable adapting to changing daily tasks and priorities Able to use a smartphone for reporting and communication Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Comfortable working indoors and occasionally in semi‑covered areas Work Environment This is an active, hands‑on role in the indoor garden department of retail stores. Work takes place primarily inside the store, with occasional tasks in covered or semi‑covered areas. Benefits Flexible schedule DailyPay options may be available
