Retail Merchandiser

JOB SUMMARY

The Merchandiser is responsible for storing and displaying inventory and maintaining inventory accuracy.

RESPONSIBLE TO

Manager and/or

Assistant Manager DUTIES:

1. Merchandising a. Execute merchandising plan from in-aisle, endcaps, front of store and yard at the direction of the Company Merchandiser and Branch Manager. b. Comply with in-store displays for vendor-sponsored promotions. c. Assist with store and department re-sets and layout plans. d. Collaborate with the Company Merchandiser to identify needs for promotional and other store signage. e. Maintain promotional and seasonal displays including signage, décor, props, fixtures, shelving and point of-purchase materials that aligns with relevant timeframe. f. Adequately stock retail shelves, including rotation of inventory and management of damaged and/or expired inventory. g. Maintain bin labels and shelf tags. h. Oversee/execute price changes, including promotions, markdowns, close-outs and expired inventory. i. Organize and maintain backstock of retail floor inventory. j. Maintain cleanliness of store and displays. k. Manage and upkeep Company and vendor created marketing materials. 2. Inventory Management a. Complete directed counts. b. Research, as needed, and post inventory corrections. c. Assist with preparation for, execution of and reconciliation of year-end physical inventory. 3. Meetings and Communication a. Attend in-store meetings, Company-wide meetings, merchandiser meetings and other meetings as scheduled. b. Complete assigned training courses.

RELATIONSHIPS

The Merchandiser reports directly to the Manager and takes direction from the Company Merchandiser. The Merchandiser works closely with other staff in their branch, including Sales staff, Warehouse staff and Receiver. They also work with the Purchasing Team, Company Merchandiser and Receiver in other branches.

Full-time Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
