Job Description

Quality Assurance / Merchandise Associate — 2nd Shift $21/hr | Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Join one of the largest retailers in the world and play a key role in making sure every product that reaches our customers meets the highest standards of quality, value, and brand integrity. This is a great opportunity for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for merchandising, and the drive to solve problems in a fast-paced distribution center environment. What You'll Do Verify merchandise meets purchase order specs and is seasonally appropriate for the zones your facility services Proactively identify and resolve vendor compliance issues related to packing, ticketing, and shipping Ensure products deliver the right value to customers in fashion, quality, price, and brand Review and challenge retail pricing to ensure "comparable at" pricing reflects company standards (20-60% off) Maintain balanced color, size, style, and quantity mixes throughout the lay-up and packing process Confirm merchandise meets fiber content, labeling, care, and country-of-origin legal requirements Evaluate logos, graphics, and hangtags for brand appropriateness Spot poor size breaks and partner with Planning to adjust pack sizes Assess unordered merchandise and assign appropriate descriptions and retail pricing Maintain problem status logs and manage special handling for flagged orders Build strong working relationships across DC associates, management, and Home Office teams Process damaged/problem merchandise, RTVs, and LPRs according to company guidelines Collaborate with Operations on overage/shortage resolution and proper routing of inter-DC merchandise What You Bring Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 1-2 years of merchandising experience Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Lotus Notes/123 a plus) Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal) Active listening skills and the ability to adapt communication style across all levels A self-starter who follows through and resolves issues efficiently Why You'll Love It Here Be part of a global retail leader with real influence on what reaches store shelves Hands-on role with variety — no two days look the same Opportunity to deepen your expertise in merchandising, quality, and DC operations Collaborative environment where your eye for detail and problem-solving directly impact the bottom line
