We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and fashion-forward Merchandise Coordinator to join our merchandising team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience in fashion, retail, marketing, or business who is eager to build a career in merchandising. The successful candidate will have a passion for fashion and accessories, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. The Merchandise Coordinator will support daily merchandising operations, reporting, sample management, website maintenance, and special projects while gaining exposure to key areas of the merchandising and product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Sample Management Receive, organize, and track incoming product samples. Check in and document all received samples. Communicate sample receipt to appropriate stakeholders. Distribute samples to designated departments and team members. Maintain organized sample archives and storage areas. Assist with sample organization and preparation for quarterly market appointments and events. Merchandising & Reporting Support Assist with the preparation and distribution of weekly selling reports and ad hoc sales analyses. Generate best-seller reports and maintain selling boards. Maintain and update the Specials Project Recap Sheet. Update and maintain the merchandising email calendar and communication wall on a weekly basis. Support the merchandising team with various reporting and administrative tasks as needed. Website & Product Support Partner with the web team to support sample image and product data workflows. Conduct weekly website audits to identify missing product information, broken images, or incorrect swatches. Review special product sections to ensure accuracy and completeness. Verify pricing updates when new retail pricing goes into effect. Assist with ongoing website maintenance projects and product launches. Special Projects Support public relations sample pulls and related requests. Participate in merchandising, marketing, and web-related special projects. Provide administrative and operational support across cross-functional teams as needed.
Qualifications:
Required 1-2 years of experience in fashion, retail, marketing, business, or a related field (internships included). Strong interest in fashion, accessories, merchandising, and consumer trends. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Preferred Attributes Self-starter with a proactive, positive attitude. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Comfortable working with data, reports, and operational processes. Eagerness to learn and grow within a merchandising organization.
