HEAD OF MERCHANDISING
Responsibilities Develop and execute the overall merchandising strategy across swimwear and resort wear categories. Own assortment architecture, category planning, and product lifecycle management. Drive product productivity, sales growth, inventory efficiency, and gross margin improvement. Lead category expansion initiatives, with a strong focus on growing the resort wear business. Build seasonal assortment plans aligned with consumer demand, market trends, and business objectives. Establish pricing strategies and margin architecture to maximize profitability while maintaining brand positioning. Analyze product, category, and channel performance and make data-driven recommendations. Partner with Planning to develop forecasts, inventory strategies, and open-to-buy plans. Identify assortment gaps, growth opportunities, and emerging product trends. Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Sales, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure alignment on product strategies. Develop channel-specific merchandising strategies for Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale, and International markets. Create and implement merchandising KPIs, reporting tools, and performance dashboards. Lead markdown, promotional, and inventory optimization strategies. Utilize customer insights, market research, and competitive analysis to guide merchandising decisions. Build and develop a scalable merchandising organization, including future team expansion. Establish merchandising processes, best practices, and decision-making frameworks to support long-term growth. Required Experience 10-15+ years of progressive merchandising leadership experience. Strong background in women's apparel, swimwear, resort wear, contemporary fashion, luxury apparel, or lifestyle brands. Proven track record driving category growth, product productivity, and profitability. Experience leading assortment planning and category management in an omnichannel environment. Deep understanding of merchandising, planning, forecasting, pricing, and inventory management. Experience partnering closely with Design, Product Development, Sales, and Ecommerce teams. Demonstrated success launching or expanding product categories. Experience utilizing data and analytics to drive merchandising decisions. Strong understanding of consumer behavior, trend analysis, and market dynamics. Experience building merchandising processes and organizational infrastructure in a growing business. Background working within wholesale, direct-to-consumer, retail, and ecommerce channels. Qualifications Strong commercial acumen and business instincts.
