Full Job Description Position Purpose:
Home Depot is investing in the customer experience inside our stores and is looking for top-notch talent to drive innovation. This individual will be primarily responsible for generating thoughtful insights and reporting for a broad variety of customer-focused innovations and leading the execution of small-to-medium sized projects. The Experience Innovation Analyst should be passionate about how our customers shop both in our stores and Online both now and in the future and willing to advocate for ideas that solve legacy and emerging customer pain points. They should be fluent in acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting data and have excellent storytelling & communication skills to reach a variety of audiences. They should have a demonstrated track record of thinking out of the box to imagine the future, this individual should also be able to get in the weeds and manage details of project execution. They should be a juggler, capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities to drive excellence and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
40% Measures and reports on in-store experience innovation programs and projects to multiple constituencies ranging from front-line store associates to executive leaders. Generates customer insights and recommendations that support thoughtful design and capital allocation. 10% Defines, articulates and documents needs & objectives, scope and business requirements for projects. Thinks creatively to make recommendations regarding execution strategies & potential solutions. 30% Manages cross-functional work groups to execute project plan. Pro-actively identify roadblocks and solutions to those roadblocks with manager. 10% Communicates with store associates and store management as well as Store Support Center-based management on project progress and risks. 10% Imagines and advocates for new ways to solve existing and new customer pain points and keep Home Depot ahead of the curve in the in-store experience.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Interconnected Retail Strategy & Insights. This position has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the application of research findings to the retail environment, brand management or category management is essential Prior experience in the gathering of customer research preferred Prior experience in a consulting and/or project management role within a corporate environment preferred Ability to structure SQL queries and manipulate large datasets preferred
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
