$22.00 per hour 26-06074 Job Summary The Sales Merchandiser is responsible for executing merchandising standards, maintaining product presentation, and providing exceptional customer service across an assigned territory. This role supports sales growth by ensuring product availability, rotating inventory, building displays, maintaining point-of-sale materials, and strengthening customer relationships. The position works closely with sales and account management teams to maximize product visibility, optimize shelf placement, and support promotional initiatives. Job Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service, merchandising support, and sales execution within an assigned territory. Stock, rotate, and merchandise products from back stock to shelves, displays, and cold storage locations. Ensure products are properly rotated and displayed according to company merchandising standards. Build, maintain, and replenish permanent and temporary displays. Support account managers with display setup, promotional execution, and sales initiatives. Perform account management duties and provide route coverage as needed. Review product code dates and remove damaged, expired, or unsaleable products from inventory locations. Communicate inventory concerns, out-of-stock conditions, and product quality issues to appropriate personnel. Ensure products are displayed in accordance with established planograms, schematics, and merchandising guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards for displays, cold equipment, racks, and point-of-sale materials. Monitor competitive activity, including pricing, promotions, and new product introductions, and communicate findings to management. Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to support sales growth and customer satisfaction. Participate in team meetings, sales meetings, and training activities. Support brand standards and ensure a professional representation of products and services. Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Previous merchandising, retail, sales, beverage, consumer packaged goods, or related experience preferred. Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail execution practices preferred. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Basic mathematical and inventory management skills. Ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Reliable personal vehicle with required insurance coverage required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card. Education High school diploma or GED required. Work Experience Previous merchandising, retail sales, route sales, beverage industry, consumer packaged goods, or customer service experience preferred. Experience building displays, stocking products, and maintaining retail merchandising standards preferred. Experience working directly with customers in a retail or sales environment preferred.
