Duties Set up attractive displays of fresh frozen fish Engage with shoppers through friendly communication, product demonstrations, and sharing the story behind your offerings Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and retail math calculations Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items to enhance sales opportunities Conduct product demos to educate customers about the benefits and uses of your products, encouraging repeat business Maintain stock levels by merchandising and restocking products throughout the market day to ensure a full and appealing display Experience Previous retail sales experience in grocery stores or farmers markets is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for local food and community engagement is essential Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve diverse customer bases Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills are necessary for accurate transactions Strong communication skills are vital for engaging customers effectively and providing excellent service Experience in merchandising, stocking, upselling, and product demos will help maximize sales potential Prior experience with grocery store operations or retail environments will support your success in this role Join us as a Farmers Market Vendor and become part of a lively community hub that celebrates local produce while building meaningful connections.
