Hours:

Average of 5 - 36 hours per week; average of 1 - 5 days per week. Shift hours may range anywhere from 7a.m. to 7p.m. or any combination of shifts therein. Must be able to work morning and evening shifts, occasionally weekends and holidays.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To create and execute exciting displays that give guests a great experience and persuades them to purchase the merchandise in the Frankenmuth Gift Shops, Inc. stores.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Visual Merchandising preferred Computer experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent, or sales experience Ability to stand and walk at all times and lift moderate weights continually Ability to climb a ladder and execute a project from that height Must be at least 18 years of age if in high school Neat appearance and friendly, hospitable disposition

WORK PERFORMED

Coordinate display themes with Lead Visual Merchandiser in addition to Managers and Buyers. Participate and give feedback in monthly store evaluations. Constructs new displays (often require some assembly or painting). Work in new merchandise with existing merchandise. Coordinate and execute store remodels, entire store floor moves, as well as smaller category or department moves. Welcomes constructive feedback with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence in visual presentation. Occasionally unpack and tag merchandise. Suggest signage and add on sale ideas to managers. Help maintain backrooms and basement cleanliness. Puts away and cleans up tools and fixturing used at the end of a project. Occasionally may be requested to find and purchase fixturing or supplies on behalf of the Corporation. Greets guests and gives excellent customer service while in the stores. (The merchandiser will not need to learn how to run a register) Takes out trash created from projects, daily Work in a safe manner at all times and eliminate or reports unsafe conditions or injuries when necessary Performs other duties as assigned or directed
