GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a dedicated individual to join us in the role of HVAC Parts Counter Sales / Warehouse / Back-up Driver to bring that same level of commitment and energy to our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for contractors and technicians, providing expert support with HVAC parts and equipment. You'll provide unmatched service, process orders both in person and over the phone, provide parts look-up, help with warehouse duties, and occasionally fill in with deliveries as needed to ensure our customers get their orders accurately, and on time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly, helpful environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining company core standards, and provide solid product knowledge and support. Use computer programs or other means to accurately look up and locate both standard and specialty parts and components for HVAC equipment. Provide quotes for contractors in person, over the phone, and/or with electronic communication. Answer customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise. Calculate sales discount to determine price. Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receive merchandise selected by customer via purchase order or branch transfer. Maintain neat and professional image. Accept payment and make change. Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements. Communicate effectively with all customers and staff. Process customer part warranties. Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise. Help with loading customer's orders when they pick up and with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks. Maintain a clean workspace and assist with store upkeep. Assist with warehouse duties and make deliveries when required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent. Minimum one year in HVAC or other related trade. Experience effectively using computers.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Complete working knowledge of how parts counters operate. Complete working knowledge of how wholesale distribution stores work and knowledge of how Shipping and Receiving works. Complete knowledge of wholesale distribution Store documents and Shipping and Receiving documents. Complete working knowledge of inventory control. Complete knowledge of tools and materials sold. (HVAC Industry) Complete knowledge of all related skill area machines and equipment used in wholesale parts and equipment distribution.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general supervision of the Branch Manager. When at other branch locations, works under the general supervision of the Store Manager.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION
Valid Non-CDL License that meet the driver qualification guidelines. Forklift knowledge and certification.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Transportation vehicles, 26' box truck, pickup truck, mobile radio, telephone, hand tools used in the maintenance of vehicles.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Required to walk, stand and sit, talk and hear (both in person and by telephone) use hands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms extended. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store and warehouse safely. Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system. Ability to communicate with associates and customers. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation. Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and counter area. Ability to safely operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store. (including, but not limited to computers, forklift, pallet jack, box truck) Ability to climb ladders. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to safely drive and deliver from a 26' box truck. (when required) Ability to work in extreme hot and cold warehouse conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, to moderately loud when in the warehouse.
Minimum Entry Level Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License Possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the above mentioned duties required in the HVAC industry.
