Job Description:
Planner Hazlet, NJ Full-Time | Hybrid Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner to support production planning, inventory flow, and customer order fulfillment at a growing operation in Hazlet, NJ. This person will help coordinate materials, schedules, and production priorities to ensure orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, comfort working with data, and the ability to communicate across production, purchasing, customer service, warehouse, and leadership teams. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, staying ahead of deadlines, and keeping operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, capacity, and lead times. Review incoming orders and help prioritize production needs to meet customer delivery expectations. Monitor inventory levels and work with purchasing/procurement to ensure raw materials and finished goods are available when needed. Communicate schedule changes, material shortages, and potential delays to internal teams. Partner with production, warehouse, customer service, and purchasing to resolve planning or fulfillment issues. Track order status, production progress, and inventory movement to identify risks before they impact customers. Maintain accurate planning data within ERP, inventory, or scheduling systems. Support continuous improvement efforts related to scheduling, inventory accuracy, lead times, and operational efficiency. Assist with reporting, forecasting, and demand planning as needed. Help create structure and consistency around planning processes as the business continues to grow. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in production planning, supply planning, inventory planning, scheduling, operations coordination, or a related role. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, packaging, cosmetics, personal care, or a similar environment preferred. Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally. High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills. Ability to identify issues, escalate risks, and help drive solutions. Comfortable working on-site in Hazlet, NJ. Preferred Experience Experience supporting production schedules or material planning. Understanding of inventory management, lead times, purchase orders, and production capacity. Experience working with vendors, internal operations teams, or customer order requirements. Background in a growing manufacturing or consumer goods business. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can bring structure, urgency, and accuracy to the planning process.
