Vending Route Merchandiser

Job Summary:

The Vending Route Merchandiser is responsible for servicing, stocking, and maintaining vending machines on an assigned route. This role ensures that machines are fully stocked, clean, and functioning properly while providing excellent customer service and maximizing sales and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Load company vehicle daily with necessary inventory and supplies. Drive assigned route and service vending machines at client locations. Stock machines with products, rotating items to ensure freshness and compliance with expiration dates. Collect and record cash and coin deposits from machines. Perform minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of vending machines. Monitor machine performance and report any malfunctions or vandalism. Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare daily route reports. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve product/service issues promptly and professionally. Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and maintained. Adhere to all company safety, sanitation, and operational procedures. Assist with warehouse duties or other company tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous route delivery or merchandising experience preferred. Valid driver's license with clean driving record equal to or greater than 5 years. Must be 23 years of age or older. Pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts. Strong time-management skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Basic mechanical aptitude a plus.

Work Environment:

This position involves frequent driving and physical activity, including lifting, bending, and walking. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Must be comfortable working independently with limited supervision.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive hourly wage starting at $18.00/hour or greater depending on level of experience. Company vehicle and fuel card provided during working hours.
