Job Description
Entry-Level Merchandiser for Canadian Retail Company in Akron We are a leading Canadian retail company seeking an Entry-Level Merchandiser to join our team in Akron. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to kick-start their career in the retail industry and gain valuable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure proper product placement and inventory levels
- Set up and maintain product displays according to company standards
- Monitor and report on competitor's pricing, promotions, and overall market trends
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective marketing strategies
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing new shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or issues from store staff or customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education in business or marketing is an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
