We are seeking a Luxury Merchandise Planner who understands that in our world, inventory is a sophisticated financial investment. We are looking for a professional who loves the hunt for luxury goods but relies on mathematical logic to lead the way. This role balances the high-energy environment of international auctions with the meticulous precision of inventory planning, ensuring every acquisition aligns with our standards for both prestige and profitability.

Responsibilities Financial Planning:

Create monthly and seasonal plans to ensure every dollar spent stays within approved budget targets.

Performance Updates:

Review actual sales performance each month and adjust future buying and stock levels to keep the business on track with profit goals.

International Procurement:

Execute live bidding sessions in Asian markets. This typically occurs 2 nights per week and requires availability past midnight, including some weekend late nights. Rapidly evaluate images and descriptions to "pick" items that meet our standards for quality and resale speed.

Margin Modeling:

Use Excel to calculate landed costs, auction premiums, and currency shifts in real-time during live bidding windows.

Financial & Trade Coordination:

Manage international wire transfer instructions and reconcile all payments against auction wins. Identify and assign precise HS Codes and manage the coordination of high-value international financial transactions.

International Shipping & Customs:

Coordinate directly with international and domestic carriers (DHL, FedEx, etc.) to solve shipping bottlenecks. Ensure 100% reconciliation of international payments against physical auction wins.

Showroom Inventory Audit:

Conduct physical unboxing and processing at our Brentwood, MO showroom . Verify leather/canvas types, hardware, and condition markers against auction records to ensure a perfect "Three-Way Match."

Requirements Merchant Foundation:

3-5 years in Retail Buying or Merchandise Planning . You must be proficient in managing an Open-to-Buy (OTB) and making data-driven procurement decisions.

Import & Carrier Fluency:

Prior experience managing international trade documents, HS Code classification, and navigating global shipping via carriers like DHL and FedEx.

Analytical Agility:

Ability to make sound decisions with limited information while synthesizing data to find opportunities to maximize sales.

Technical Skills:

Expert-level Excel proficiency (complex margin modeling) and a high comfort level using AI tools (ChatGPT/Gemini) to maximize operational speed.

Luxury Product Fluency:

Deep knowledge of high-end brands, materials, and hardware finishes that drive value in the resale market.

Direct Communication:

Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, objective insights that drive business decisions.

Work Authorization:

Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. No H-1B visa sponsorship is available.

Project Availability & Location Market Alignment:

This project requires availability to align with live international markets, including late nights and weekends.

On-Site Requirement:

Periodic on-site work at our Brentwood, MO showroom is required for physical inventory auditing and processing. You must be in the building to execute these tasks.
