Job Description:
Our client, a well-known music entertainment company, is looking for someone to join their team as a Merchandise Planner. This role is hybrid in New York City. •This is a W2 contract with benefits offered• In this role, you will support forecasting and demand planning activities across multiple distribution channels, including retail, tour, and eCommerce. This role is responsible for building and maintaining forecast models using business intelligence, historical sales data, and cross-functional inputs to support strategic supply chain decisions. What You Will Be Doing Communicating cross functionally to product development managers and other members across teams Analyze historical sales trends and demand drivers to develop and maintain statistical forecast models Evaluate forecast performance and refine models based on updated sales, marketing, and business assumptions Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Consumer Engagement, Tour, Web, and Finance teams to reconcile forecast variances Evolve planning models to better capture demand signals across all distribution channels Facilitate collaborative planning sessions to achieve alignment on operational demand forecasts Maintain demand planning systems, ensuring data accuracy and product hierarchy integrity Required Skills & Experience Forecasting tools - tableau, domo, SAP etc. Must have apparel merchandise planning experience Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methods and their operational and financial impact Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools
