$40-45/hr About the Opportunity My client is a highly established global apparel and consumer products company with an extensive portfolio of licensed and wholesale fashion brands sold through major retailers nationwide. They are seeking a Senior Planning Temp to support their planning team through a high-volume, fast-paced period focused heavily on forecasting, inventory analysis, shipment reporting, and executive-level business reporting. This role is ideal for someone with strong wholesale planning experience within the fashion/apparel industry who is highly analytical, Excel-savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting business insights to senior leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Run month-end shipping reports and create detailed forecast documents involving sales, margins, royalties, and expense impacts
Support shipment reforecasting processes in partnership with sales teams and leadership
Review sales shipment projections and margin forecasts with Planning VPs, Sales VPs, and Division Presidents
Run and analyze monthly inventory reports including On-Hand inventory, WIP, forecasting, ending inventory, and weeks of supply
Analyze replenishment needs and collaborate with accounts to make inventory buy recommendations
Support ad hoc reporting, forecasting, and business analysis projects as needed
Present hindsight findings and business insights to senior planning and sales leadership
Ensure reports and leadership-facing materials are highly organized, accurate, and professionally formatted
Qualifications:
Strong experience within wholesale planning, merchandise planning, inventory planning, or demand planning within fashion/apparel
Advanced Excel skills required including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and large data set management
Strong understanding of shipment forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, retail math, and margin analysis
Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with leadership teams
Tech savvy and able to quickly learn internal systems and reporting tools This is a fast-paced, highly visible opportunity working closely with executive leadership across planning, sales, and operations.
