Keweenaw Coffee Works is seeking a creative, organized, and community-minded Social Media & Retail Coordinator to join our team. This hybrid role blends digital storytelling with hands-on retail operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about specialty coffee, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys both creating engaging online content and supporting the day-to-day success of a retail marketplace. You will embody KCW's commitment to excellence while managing our retail space and creating an engaging shopping experience for our customers. From inventing outrageous seasonal drinks to curating our Marketplace with specialty items from all over the Midwest, from helping with your café start-up (including equipment sourcing and coffee bar flow) to training your staff as rockstar baristas, our team is what turns us from just a coffee roaster into a community hub for fun, culture, and inspiration.Description Key Responsibilities:
Social Media & Digital Engagement:
Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social platforms. Capture photo and video content of products, events, and behind-the-scenes moments. Write captions aligned with brand voice and seasonal promotions. Monitor and respond to comments and messages. Track performance metrics and provide monthly insights. Support email marketing and promotional campaigns. Retail Operations Oversee day-to-day retail marketplace operations. Ensure accurate pricing and product labeling. Support in-store promotions and seasonal launches. Support vendor relationships and product sourcing. Stock and organize retail areas Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders Process retail transactions Support and Maintain visually appealing merchandising displays Maintain clean retail space Customer Service Embody the Daymaker philosophy Create welcoming environment Assist with customer selections Share coffee knowledge Process returns/exchanges Support coffee education Inventory Management Track retail inventory Report low stock items Maintain product organization Support ordering processes Monitor product freshness Assist with inventory counts Qualifications Experience managing social media for a brand or small business. Strong composition, photography, videography, and written communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail Retail, merchandising, or inventory experience preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively Passion for coffee, local business, and community engagement Retail experience preferred Strong customer service skills Basic math abilities Team-player mentality Physical stamina Attention to detail Open availability including weekends Physical Requirements Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time Capability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in dynamic environmentWhat We Offer:
