JOB DESCRIPTION
Mission House Outlet Store is a thriving, mission-driven organization committed to making a meaningful impact in our community and beyond. Every aspect of our work—from donation pickup to warehouse operations and retail delivery—supports the greater mission. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory & Merchandise Associate to join our team. This position plays a critical role in receiving, preparing, assembling, pricing, organizing, testing, labeling, merchandising, and tracking inventory throughout our store and warehouse operations. Friday:
8:00 AM - 3:30 PM One 30-minute unpaid lunch break and one paid 10-minute break Approximately 33 hours per week One Saturday per month is required for Mission House special sale events

MAJOR DUTIES
Receive, inspect, sort, and organize merchandise. Follow Mission House PAP-O procedures (Prep, Assemble, Price & Organize). Prepare merchandise for sale. Assemble merchandise when required. Test and evaluate merchandise for functionality and condition. Price merchandise according to Mission House pricing guidelines. Label merchandise accurately and consistently. Assist with inventory counts and inventory organization. Maintain organized warehouse and storage areas. Assist with department resets, special projects, and merchandise displays. Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines. Work collaboratively with store, warehouse, and leadership teams. Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mission House processes a wide variety of merchandise, including: Appliances Cabinets and vanities Building fasteners Doors and windows Furniture and home goods Electrical and plumbing items Power tools and hand tools Lawn and garden merchandise Liquidation inventory Customer returns Overstock merchandise Donated merchandise As-Is merchandise Employees should expect to: Inspect, clean, sort, assemble, organize, and prepare merchandise for sale. Test electrical items such as microwaves, lighting, fans, power tools, and small appliances. Identify damaged, incomplete, defective, or unsafe merchandise. Work in both retail and warehouse environments. Work in warehouse environments where dust, warehouse debris, and varying merchandise conditions may be present. Safely handle damaged packaging, leaking containers, or chemical products in accordance with company safety procedures. Adapt to changing priorities throughout the day. Merchandise may arrive in new, returned, overstock, liquidation, donated, damaged-box, or as-is condition and may require inspection, cleaning, testing, sorting, assembly, and preparation before being offered for sale. No two days are exactly alike.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable transportation. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to lift and carry up to 50-70 pounds. Comfortable working with returned, liquidation, overstock, donated, damaged-box, and as-is merchandise. Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining productivity and accountability. Basic Computer experience. Retail & Warehouse experience.
