This role sits at the center of data and product strategy — you will be the person who knows exactly which SKUs are winning, which are dragging, where the floor space is being wasted, and what should replace it next season. You will work closely with the Buying, Product Development, and Store Operations teams to build and execute a disciplined, trend-informed approach to our in-store assortment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Planogram Management Own the creation, maintenance, and execution of planograms across beauty and accessories categories for all 100 retail store locations Build and update planograms using space planning software — ensure every fixture reflects current assortment strategy, product sizing, and brand adjacency standards Partner with Store Operations to communicate planogram updates, rollout timelines, and reset execution requirements to store teams Manage seasonal planogram resets — coordinate timing with product launches, vendor transitions, and promotional calendars Maintain planogram library and version control — ensure stores are always executing the most current approved layout Assortment Analytics & Performance Conduct deep-dive sales analysis by category, planogram, and SKU — track sell-through rates, units per transaction, revenue per linear foot, and category contribution Identify underperforming SKUs and make data-backed recommendations for discontinuation, repositioning, or markdown Identify category whitespace and high-velocity trends to recommend new product additions — work with Buying and Product Development on assortment gaps Build and maintain recurring performance dashboards and reporting by category and store cluster Analyze performance variance across store locations — surface insights on regional differences in category behavior Assortment Planning & Seasonal Strategy Partner with the Buyer and Product Development team to build seasonal assortment plans by category — beauty (cosmetics, skincare, nail) and accessories (jewelry, hair, tools) Recommend additions and deletions to the planogram assortment each season based on sales data, trend intel, and space capacity Manage SKU rationalization — maintain a disciplined approach to assortment size, ensuring the right number of SKUs per fixture and category Evaluate new products ahead of launch — assess fit within current planogram, determine space requirements, and recommend placement strategy Maintain an up-to-date awareness of competitor assortment strategies, trend-driven product categories, and emerging beauty and accessories trends Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Supply Chain and Inventory Buyer to ensure planogram SKUs are in-stock and replenishment is aligned with space allocation Support the Buying team — pull performance data, summarize category insights, and flag risks Communicate assortment changes and planogram updates clearly to
Store Operations Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, space planning, assortment analytics, or retail buying — beauty, accessories, or specialty retail preferred Strong analytical skills — highly proficient in Excel / Google Sheets; experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX MATCH, and building clean performance reports Experience building or working with planograms — familiarity with space planning concepts (linear feet, facings, productivity per foot) Ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for both analytical and non-analytical audiences Strong organizational skills — comfortable managing multiple categories, seasonal calendars, and planogram versions simultaneously Retail store experience or strong understanding of how B&M retail merchandising works in practice Preferred Experience with planogram software (JDA / Blue Yonder Space Planning, Spaceman, Nielsen Spaceman, or similar) Experience with Shopify analytics, or similar BI tools Beauty or accessories category background — understanding of how cosmetics, skincare, and accessory categories are structured in retail Exposure to NetSuite, or similar ERP / inventory management systems Experience working in a multi-store specialty retail environment (50+ locations) Health, Vision, Dental Insurance Flexible Spending Account (Health & Dependent Care) Paid Time Off (PTO) Fun working environment with an Energetic Team High growth potential within our company Compensation based on experience
