Visual Merchandiser (Designer for furniture & home furnishings)

Furniture Visual Merchandiser/Designer Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9:00-5:30. Benefits Full Time Position $20 hour, (based on experience) Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 401K match Paid time off Job Requirements •Prior Design/merchandising experience (2 years required) Travel 1 day a week to Ashley in Parkersburg, WV. Highly organized with attention and focus on detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as a team member & manage others The Visual Merchandiser will coordinate, design, and display all merchandise to aid in the sale of furniture and accessories. They will implement all merchandising strategies consistent with the goal of creating an enjoyable, easy shopping experience. Responsibilities Work closely with visual team leaders and members at all locations regarding new, discontinue and clearance products. Implement and plan using Ashley standards. Manage receiving, unpacking, tagging and optimal distribution of accessories. Assist in planning movement of all display products. Hands on involvement in showrooms executing merchandising standards, product placement and accessorizing . Heavy lifting is required. Administrative duties include analyzing monthly sales reports, placing orders, planning new product placement, clearance out aged product and communicating with team members.
