Job Description

Position:
Merchandising Supervisor -
Capital Project Execution Location:
Annapolis, MD Duration:
Full-time Salary:
$70,000 About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Merchandising Supervisor to lead the field execution of capital projects across our national retail footprint. You will manage crews, timelines, and store-level rollouts from new store sets and remodels to fixture installs, category resets, and display rebuilds. If you thrive on turning planograms into perfectly merchandised stores on schedule and on budget, this is your seat. What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day execution on time, on spec, and on budget.
  • Manage, schedule, and coach a team of merchandisers leads and third-party labor crews; understand hiring, training, and performance.
  • Partner with construction, store operations, planogram, and vendor teams to sequence work and resolve on-site issues in real time.
  • Read and interpret planograms, floor plans, and fixture schematics; translate them into clear work plans for the field team.
  • Track project KPIs (labor hours, completion rates, defects, spend) and report progress to leadership.
  • Conduct site walks and quality audits; fix what's wrong before the store opens or re-opens.
  • Manage tools, fixtures, and materials logistics making sure the right product and hardware are on-site when crews arrive.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, professional presence in every store. What You Bring
  • 2-3+ years in retail merchandising, store set, fixture install, or capital project execution — with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously across different locations.
  • Strong read on planograms, POGs, and basic construction drawings.
  • Comfort with overnight and early-morning sets; willingness to travel up to 80%.
  • Sharp communicator — equally effective with a crew on the floor and a director on a call.
  • Proficiency with project tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, or similar) and basic reporting.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with remodels, new store openings (NSOs), or large-scale category resets.
  • Background in big-box retail, grocery, home improvement, or CPG merchandising.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary + project performance bonus
  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match
  • Paid travel, per diem, and mileage reimbursement
  • Clear path into Project Manager and multi-market leadership roles
