Schedule Monday through Friday, on-call as needed What to Expect as a Product + Merchandising Manager Purchasing + Inventory Management Manage purchasing across grocery, retail, and specialty food categories Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate par levels Forecast demand and seasonal inventory needs Analyze sales and inventory performance Minimize out-of-stocks, excess inventory, and spoilage Maintain accurate SKU and product databases Develop inventory systems and reporting tools Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Negotiate pricing and purchasing opportunities Coordinate lead times, deliveries, and product availability Maintain vendor records and product information Maintain costing, margin, and product performance reports Track key retail metrics and category performance Organize product specifications, vendor information, and launch materials Merchandising Manage and maintain a curated assortment of grocery and retail products Source new vendors and products aligned with the Perenn brand Monitor product performance and recommend additions or deletions Maintain category organization and assortment integrity Develop and maintain merchandising standards Coordinate new product launches from concept through execution Manage timelines, approvals, and project tracking Coordinate product samples, testing, and vendor communication Assist with the development and expansion of Perenn-branded products Support seasonal collections, gifting programs, and limited-time offerings Coordinate seasonal resets and product transitions Support product placement and assortment planning Ensure retail presentation aligns with the Perenn brand Create systems that support future growth and scalability About You 3+ years of experience in grocery purchasing, merchandising, inventory management, category management, or a similar role Experience with leading multi-unit, multi-state operations (preferred) Experience working in specialty grocery, gourmet food retail, premium retail, or natural foods environments Must reside in the Franklin/Nashville area Strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing systems Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software Experience managing vendor relationships and product ordering Excellent organizational and project management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail Proficiency in spreadsheets and inventory systems Hospitality at the heart of everything Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time Transparent Hospitality is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
