Job Description

Job Summary The Maintenance Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory, organization, and availability of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies to support efficient equipment maintenance and plant operations. This role ensures that all necessary parts are accurately tracked, properly stored, and readily available to minimize downtime and support preventative and corrective maintenance activities. The Maintenance Parts Coordinator works closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to maintain inventory accuracy, manage vendor relationships, and support continuous improvement of parts management processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring maintenance efficiency and overall equipment reliability. Core Competencies & Responsibilities 1. Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and facility procedures.
  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and organization of maintenance parts and materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free parts storage area.
  • Comply with company standards for chemical storage and hazardous materials (if applicable).
2. Quality & Standards Maintain accurate inventory records for all maintenance parts, tools, and supplies. Ensure proper labeling, organization, and identification of all inventory items. Verify parts received match purchase orders, specifications, and quality requirements. Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation and inventory control processes. 3. Productivity & Operational Excellence
  • Manage parts inventory levels to ensure availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Coordinate ordering, receiving, and stocking of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Issue parts to maintenance personnel and track usage through inventory systems.
  • Support preventative maintenance planning by ensuring required parts are available for scheduled work.
  • Identify critical spare parts and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Assist in organizing and improving parts storage systems and processes.
4. Communication & Teamwork Coordinate with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Operations teams to support parts and inventory needs. Communicate part availability, shortages, and lead times to maintenance leadership. Work with vendors and suppliers to track orders and resolve discrepancies. Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment. 5.
Technical / Job
-Specific Skills Proficiency in inventory management systems, CMMS, or ERP platforms. Ability to track and manage parts usage, stock levels, and reorder points. Basic knowledge of maintenance parts including mechanical, electrical, and facility components. Ability to read part numbers, manuals, and equipment documentation. Strong organizational and data entry accuracy skills.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or maintenance support preferred.
Certifications:
Forklift certification preferred (if applicable).
Other Requirements:
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical & Environmental Requirements Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs. Exposure to maintenance shop and warehouse environments, including noise and machinery. Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
