Job Description The Parts Counterperson is responsible for identifying, locating, ordering, and selling the required parts for the shop and for wholesale clients. This position requires the ability to multi-task. We use multiple resources in locating and ordering parts that must be monitored, and customers will need to be updated on parts orders and availability on a constant basis. The ideal candidate has experience in an automotive parts department and is computer literate and willing to work hard. This position requires experience as either a dealership level counterperson or large scale parts house experience. Responsibilities Properly identifies parts needed for repair Verifies availability of parts Updates customers of order status when it changes Delivers parts to wholesale customers Reports any safety or efficiency concerns to management Checks in new stock for completeness of order and damage Stocks parts department Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred Neat, clean, and professional appearance Able to address situations with a calm cool approach Dedicated to excellence Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Must be computer literate The Counter Person Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $16.90 and $25.00. The position may also pay a sales incentive on team performance that may range from $0.00 without any fixed upper limit.
