Job Description

Temp-to-hire opportunity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine incoming and outgoing shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Process sales requests and returns, both internally and/or externally, including troubleshooting errors or missing parts. Includes online orders. Pull parts for incoming machines and machine upgrades/customer pallets. Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins. Restock unused or returned parts from service repairs. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list. Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact. Opens/closes customer service lobby. Monitors correspondence including email aimed at the parts department. Maintain list of backorders. Monitors & answers phones. House keeping areas as assigned by Parts Manager. Other duties as assigned by Parts Manager. Works in coordination with other Parts department personnel.
EXPERIENCE
• Entry level up to 4 years experience; experience in inventory, automotive or harvest equipment a plus.
CORE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to multi-task and discern priority of tasks assigned, and ask for help when priority is not clear. Ability to take instruction, ask questions for clarification, and complete tasks as directed. Ability to manage time effectively. Ability to read and understand labels, manuals, bulletins, and charts. Ability to work in a small team as well as independently to produce results. Ability to use a wide variety of measuring tools such as a tape measure and rulers. Ability to use machinery such as forklift, pallet jack or other lifting tools. Ability to use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impacts and drills, but not limited to. Use mathematical skills to calculate dimensions or weights, both decimals and fractions. Good attendance, Positive attitude, Punctuality and willingness to work overtime.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Ear protection, Safety Glasses. Able to read and understand the SDS requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee will encounter while preforming the essential functions of this job. Manufacturing environment. Exposed to temperature changes, heat in the summer, cold in the winter. Noise levels in the shop will require ear protection to be worn as needed. Employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, dust, dirt, oil, and airborne particles.
SCHEDULE
The regular schedule is assigned by Supervisor or Department Manager. Weekends and Overtime will be required at varying times throughout the year.
