SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Parts Tool Clerk position is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking inventory used to support maintenance and production operations. This role ensures that all parts, tools, and supplies are accurately accounted for, properly stored, and readily available to minimize equipment downtime and support efficient plant operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and materials against purchase orders and packing slips and put away in designated spots
- Accurately enter receipts and issue transactions into ERP or inventory management systems
- Organize, label, and store parts in designated parts room locations for easy retrieval
- Issue parts, tools, and supplies to maintenance and production personnel as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories
- Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs to purchaser
- Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts room
- Track usage and maintain records of critical and high-value spare parts
- Assist in developing and maintaining parts inventory procedures and best practices
- Support maintenance planning and purchasing by ensuring required parts are available for scheduled work Follow all safety procedures and company policies in all parts handling and storage activities Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, PIT Operation - Training provided by employer Promote a "teamwork" atmosphere by assisting where needed in housekeeping, master cleaning, organizing, etc.

EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
Preferred:
1-3 years' experience in manufacturing. Inventory management
SKILLS:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, GMP, and housekeeping practices.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions. Prolonged standing, walking, and bending
