Parts Racking Specialist Description We are seeking a dedicated Parts Racking Specialist to join our esteemed company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient management, organization, and storage of motor, medical and aerospace parts and ensure seamless accessibility and optimal inventory control. This position demands precision, attention to detail, efficiency and adherence to industry standards including safety protocols. The Parts Racking Specialist will collaborate closely with Team Leads in various other departments to support operational excellence and maintain the integrity of parts. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a structured environment and possesses the ability to implement systematic storage solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and minimize the risk of part misplacement or damage. Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the storage and racking of parts in accordance with established guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensure accurate identification, labeling and cataloging of all parts within the finishing process.
- Coordinate with immediate supervisor to facilitate timely availability of parts.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of parts racks to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Implement and uphold procedures that promote the safe handling and storage of sensitive and high-value aerospace components.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area to prevent damage and contamination of parts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing performance efficiency and reducing operating times. Requirements
- Experience in parts racking and handling within the metal finishing or aerospace industry is preferred.
- Clear understanding of sensitive parts handling procedures and storage requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members.
- Physical capability to handle and organize parts, including lifting moderate weights and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to strict security protocols.
