Job Description
Job Overview Southern Specialty Equipment is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Entry-Level Parts Associate to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new systems, and supporting a busy service and sales operation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable skills, and grow within the company. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong communication abilities, and demonstrate a proactive approach to customer service and operational tasks. This position is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in automotive, sales, or retail sectors with room for advancement. Responsibilities Assist in daily parts operations including receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory. Process customer and internal parts orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain clean, organized parts shelves and work areas. Learn to identify parts by equipment model, serial number, and diagrams. Support service technicians and management with parts lookups and availability updates. Assist with shipping, receiving, and packaging parts for delivery or pickup. Handle phone inquiries and walk-in customers in a professional, helpful manner. Ensure proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment Skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Basic knowledge of equipment repair, diagnostics, and equipment maintenance preferred Experience with inventory management systems Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and order fulfillment Retail math proficiency for sales calculations and inventory assessments Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor Negotiation skills beneficial for upselling or resolving customer concerns Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Full-time position with growth potential.
