Job Description :
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Specialist to support a prototype vehicle workshop environment. This team works on pre-production and next-generation vehicles, performing repairs and testing before vehicles are released to engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for managing parts inventory, supporting technicians and engineers, and ensuring parts availability to keep operations running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Manage and safeguard all parts inventory and assets Perform weekly cycle counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy Stock, organize, and track all incoming and existing parts Pull and deliver parts to technicians; support daily shop operations Order parts, manage backorders, and handle special-order requests Coordinate with technicians and engineers on parts availability and delays Use parts catalogs (e.g., Paragon/EPC) to identify and verify correct parts Ensure all parts are properly billed to the correct repair order or cost center Handle shipping/receiving, including hazardous materials and compliance documentation Monitor stock levels and proactively reorder or return excess inventory Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and budget tracking Stay current on manufacturer updates, recalls, and part changes Daily Breakdown 50%
  • Pulling and delivering parts to technicians 20%
  • Ordering and inventory management 20%
  • Supporting engineers/technicians and answering parts inquiries 10%
  • Documentation, reporting, and hazmat compliance Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience in an automotive parts department (dealership, plant, or retail) Experience working with Mercedes-Benz parts (dealership or MB-specific repair environment strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and cycle counting Familiarity with parts catalog systems (Paragon or equivalent EPC) Experience with shipping/receiving and hazardous materials (DOT compliance preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency with basic computer tools (Excel, Word, inventory systems) Top Skills Automotive Parts Department Experience Inventory Management & Accuracy Organization & Attention to Detail Why Join Work hands-on with prototype and next-generation vehicles Be part of a high-performing workshop supporting cutting-edge automotive technology Collaborative environment working alongside technicians and engineers
