  • Blackshear, Ga is seeking a motivated Assistant Parts Clerk to add to our purchasing and inventory team.
This role is responsible for supporting day to day purchasing and inventory functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to learn and work within multiple inventory management systems. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working independently and with a team, who is reliable, detail oriented, comfortable driving and likes improving process within a growing organization. Position Snapshot To perform well in this role, you will need to: Work well in a team environment Transporting parts to and from vendors and deliver items to maintenance staff Verify receipt tickets at pickup, for item confirmation and proper company billing info Ensure parts truck is clean and keep up with vehicle maintenance Stock and track parts through periodic cycle counts to support inventory management Serve as secondary purchasing agent alsong side parts clerk Obtain quotes, handle purchase order and verify receipts for proper documentation Assist parts clerk with shipping and receiving items Assisting with managing inventory Helping maintain a clean and organized parts room Other duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications to be considered for the role: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have valid drivers license and a clean driving record are required High school diploma or equivalent are required Technological skills to work with multiple inventory management programs and apps are required Previous purchasing experience preferred Experience operating forklift and lull are preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks accordingly Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and maintenance staff Physical stamina to life and transport heavy items (often up to and above 50lbs)
