Parts Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for managing parts inventory, processing orders, and supporting service operations at our Macon, Ga branch. The following duties and responsibilities are requirements for this position: Open repair orders, listing all reported vehicle defects. Process, review, and close repair orders; ensuring parts have been charged out, labor has been properly applied, repair comments are adequate (if required), and warranty claim written. Process purchase orders, order parts for stock and for individual repair orders, and receive and stock parts as necessary. Schedule Preventive Maintenance visits for Lease, Rental, Guarantee Maintenance Agreement (GMA), and Full Maintenance Agreement (FMA) customers. Conduct frequent physical inventory and continuously revise stock levels based on demand analysis. Purchase from directed vendors and verify pricing on invoices received. Manage cores and warranty parts ensuring prompt returns and credits. Meet stock level objectives. Return and or sell unused inventory levels. Monitor special order items. Call customers and give them updates on the status of repairs on their vehicle. Dispense fuel, check fluid levels, and tire pressure. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

2 - 3 years' experience in the trucking and/or automotive industry. Education/Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Good customer service skills including the ability to effectively communicate with customers and explain vehicle repairs. Good command of the English language with good communication skills. Good telephone etiquette. Computer literate with intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, an Karmak.

Physical Demands Required:

Normal use of hands, fingers, and limbs. Able to stand, walk, and stoop. Ability to talk and hear. Occasional heavy lifting (50 - 100 lbs.) carrying and loading.
