Job Description

Description:
GTG Peterbilt - Waterloo , a premier provider of quality products and services to commercial equipment end users. We currently carry a full line of parts in our inventory along with maintenance and repair services. When you build your career at GTG Peterbilt , you make a commitment to being the very best in the business. We have an immediate opening for Parts Counter Specialist in Waterloo, IA. The successful candidate will assist internal and external customers by helping to identify needed parts. Strive to provide exceptional customer service. Advise customers on available parts and services. Monday - Friday work week!
Requirements:
Assist mechanics and customers with acquiring parts. Locate parts mechanics might need to finish job. Answer customer questions, provide price quotes in-person and over the phone. Sell parts to help achieve sales goal. Stock shelves on display and in warehouse. Pull customer orders. Maintain inventory, cycle count inventory, assist with core returns.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service. Self-starter, maintain positive attitude. Automotive or truck part related experience a plus not required. Multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Communicate updates to internal and external customers. Mechanical knowledge a must. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Education:
Intermediate computer skills. High school or equivalent preferred Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Required experience:
Sales/Customer Service 1 year Automotive or Truck Parts 1 year
