Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Parts Counterperson to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face and knowledgeable resource for customers seeking auto parts, supporting their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. Your enthusiasm for automotive service combined with strong communication skills will help drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct auto parts, offering expert advice on automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment to ensure parts availability. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and invoicing. Maintain organized shelving and stock areas, ensuring proper stocking procedures and inventory management. Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and problem-solving to meet customer needs. Collaborate with the service department on automotive repair and automotive service requirements. Utilize Microsoft Excel or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for record keeping and inventory tracking. Qualifications Previous dealership or retail sales experience in an automotive parts environment is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order processing. Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, automotive repair, and automotive service is highly desirable. Proficiency with POS systems, retail math, Microsoft Excel, and inventory control software. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
