Full-Time Position Available We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Parts Specialist. This role is vital to the efficiency and daily operations of our shop. The Parts Specialist will be responsible for managing the parts department, ensuring accurate inventory control, distributing parts to technicians in a timely manner, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate understands the importance of organization, urgency, and communication in a fast paced automotive repair environment.
Responsibilities:
Parts Department Management:
Order and source parts accurately and efficiently for repair orders as needed Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts for accuracy and condition Distribute parts promptly to technicians to maintain workflow efficiency Tag parts daily and ensure all parts are clearly labeled. Ensure parts are being returned in a timely manner and follow up on outstanding returns. Update inventory records to reflect returned items, ensuring accurate stock levels. Ensure the parts department is tidy, organized, and clean at all times, following best practices for storage and maintenance. Collaborate with the parts team to ensure efficient operations and meet customer needs. Support the procurement process by working closely with vendors to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain a well-organized parts inventory, ensuring quick and easy access to products.
Inventory & Tire Management:
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries
Shop Efficiency & Support:
Communicate effectively with service advisors and technicians regarding parts. Assist in reducing downtime by ensuring parts are ready when needed. Identify opportunities to improve parts ordering processes and overall shop workflow Help maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable service
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in the automotive industry Proven experience in auto parts or in a similar role. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
