Job Description

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Clerk for a manufacturing facility in the Niles, IL area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Maintenance Clerk plays a key role in supporting maintenance operations by managing inventory, coordinating parts procurement, and maintaining accurate records. Pay:
2nd Shift Maintenance Clerk - $20.00 per hour 3rd Shift Maintenance Clerk - $21.00 per hour
What You'll Do:
Maintain a clean and organized storeroom Track and maintain accurate inventory levels using Maintimizer Create and close work orders with accurate labor hours, parts usage, and notes Source, verify, and procure maintenance parts and supplies Create purchase orders for maintenance, QA, sanitation, and production supplies Communicate with vendors for parts, services, and deliveries Document and submit packing slips to Accounts Payable Run reports as requested by management Report food safety and quality issues to management Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams
Requirements:
Standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs Ability to work on a concrete floor for extended periods Must wear required PPE (hair net, bump cap, earplugs, safety shoes, uniform) Must be able to work weekends during peak season Must be able to work overtime when needed Strong technical ability to identify and source maintenance parts Basic understanding of mechanical terminology and equipment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate records Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Weekly pay Full-time hours available Long-term opportunity Fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow within the company
