Job purpose This role performs duties and tasks related to the rough grinding for castings Duties and responsibilities Rough grind castings to remove gates Identify cold pour and mis-runs (excessive scrap) Communicate status and issues with: First time runs Wheel Usage Other duties as assigned Qualifications High Diploma or GED Ability to read work instructions and operating procedures for various machines and parts Strong personal organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Ability to do basic math for counting parts Previous experience with Heat Treat Working conditions May be exposed to industrial oils, toner, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals Foundry Environment Could work in areas with excessive noise Exposure to fumes Physical requirements Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds Standing for extended periods of time Physical agility to move quickly, climb ladders Able to twist and bend while moving pans of parts #ALN All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
