The Parts Counter Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the parts department by providing exceptional customer service and accurate parts identification. This position involves interacting directly with customers, technicians, and vendors to fulfill parts orders promptly and accurately. The associate is responsible for maintaining organized inventory records and assisting in stock management to support seamless parts availability. By leveraging product knowledge and communication skills, the Parts Counter Associate helps to minimize downtime for customers and service teams. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall success of the business by facilitating smooth parts transactions and fostering positive customer relationships.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory or point-of-sale systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and managing inventory.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive or industrial parts sales or inventory management. Familiarity with parts catalogs and technical specifications. Knowledge of common tools and equipment related to the industry. Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds as needed. Experience working with vendors and managing purchase orders.Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist them in identifying and selecting the correct parts for their needs. Process parts orders accurately using inventory management systems and point-of-sale software. Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records, including receiving, stocking, and tracking parts. Communicate effectively with service technicians and vendors to ensure timely parts availability and delivery. Provide knowledgeable advice on parts compatibility, usage, and availability to support customer satisfaction.Skills:
