Nightshift Parts and Service Supervisor:
We need someone to work at night to assist with parts ordering/inventory and service advising for afterhours service calls. We are actively seeking more help on nights to complete overflow work from our dayshift team. This hours for this shift are 7:00PM - 7:00AM on a Pitman Style rotation [2 on 3 off] [2 on 2 off] [3 on 2 off]. Goals for this position are to provide relief for our on call team members, have an alert/awake person to answer phone calls for both of our locations, improve our service and inventory processes and organization, coordinate and recieve payments for service calls, and offer our technicians the detailed backup and support they need and deserve. We are seeking a team-oriented person to work in the background to support our operations behind the scenes. We need someone who is driven, self motivated, and willing to put in 110% effort to help our company grow. Must be willing and able to stay on task and complete assignments with limited management presence. Must be comfortable working alone at night. Duties for this role will include creating and assigning service orders, answering phone calls from customers and technicians, serving customers, ordering parts, inputing parts invoices, billing parts on service orders, and assisting with keeping work flow running smoothly for on call and night shift technicians. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detail Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to prioritize tasks Ability to act with integrity and professionalism Create invoices, estimates, obtain work approvals/PO#s, and process invoices for payment daily Send invoices, estimates, and work approvals/PO#s to customers Obtain approvals for repairs from customers and third-party representatives Enter vendor invoices into computer Work with vendors to create and use proper purchase order requirements Manage, control, track, restock, and physically count inventory in shop and service trucks Create labels for parts, organize shelving, and stock inventory in an organized and orderly manner Communicate with customers during diagnosis and repair processes as needed Receive payments from customers (Checks, cash, credit card, electronic deposits) Resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently Assist coworkers and demonstrate willingness to work as a team Regularly report and communicate status updates about work assignments and deadlines to upper management A successful candiate for this position will manage inventory, orders, and distributes tools, parts, and equipment for repairs, while also assisting customers and technicians. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, organizing stockrooms, performing inspections, and often using inventory software or barcode scanners. This role ensures efficiency in maintenance and service departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Ordering, receiving, and stocking parts, as well as conducting, performing, and tracking inventory levels.
Support & Distribution:
Issuing tools and parts to technicians and assisting customers with requests or inquiries.
Records Maintenance:
Manually or electronically updating, recording, and maintaining issue/turn-in records.
Inspection & Maintenance:
Inspecting items for damage or quality and performing minor repairs on tools and equipment.
Customer Service:
Advising on parts, updating customers on back-orders, and processing returns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
Experience:
Previous experience in retail or an automotive/mechanical environment is highly beneficial.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with mechanical tools, parts terminology, and inventory software.
Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
Physical:
Ability to lift, organize, and operate equipment like forklifts.
Other Duties:
Drive to obtain parts and deliver to technians on job sites Clean shop and offices, wash company vehicles Stay productive during slow times Help support other Road Warrior locations Drug free individuals with a clean driving record and limited criminal history are encouraged to apply.
