Special Projects Assistant Blossom Chevrolet Indianapolis, IN Job Details Full-time $14 - $15 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Computer operation Customer returns handling Basic math Forklift Driver's License Driving Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Responsible for assisting the Special Projects Manager (SP Manager) in the day-to-day operations of the parts returns from customers and to General Motors. Assists the SP Manager in running a profitable parts operation through the use of proper inventory control, security, and prompt returns to General Motors of obsolete or damaged products and all valuable cores to ensure maximum reimbursement to dealership in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
including the following. Other duties may be assigned. Effectively works with the SP Manager with all parts returns, ensuring allpaperwork is completed and processed according to established policies and procedures, and achieving/maintaining a satisfactory Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) rating. Keep track of all returns from ourwholesale customers and write credits of the appropriate monetary value using correct credit codes to ensure accurate stock quantities are present in our computer system in a timely manner. Informs management of any issues with parts returned to us so that customer contact can be made to resolve them. Informs management of Newsetbin location of allSpecial-Order return parts and sends them to proper warehouse location for stocking. Check status of all cores returned and write up claim to be submitted by management in a timely manner. Pull and tag all returns to General Motors and appropriately fill out all paperwork according to established policies and procedures for all Damage, Obsolete and Core returns in a timely manner. Follow up on any damages, or cores that are still in area after a proper timeframe is allowed for processing. Inform management of any discrepancies in return paperwork received from General Motors so that they can contact GM for a resolution. Maintain in an orderly fashion, the CV warranty parts. Properly dispose of parts after management has informed that the hold period after warranty payment has lapsed. Help all Parts Associates look for missing parts as needed. Check in stock or pull pick tickets during extremely busy situations or with any spare time. Vacation/sick day coverage within department as deemed necessary by management Help keep work area and warehouse clean.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization .
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid Indiana Driver's License and maintain a good driving record.

May occasionally have to work overtime to complete jobs and satisfy customers.

Pay:
