Job Description

Vermeer Heartland is a family-owned, full-service dealer of Vermeer industrial equipment across four states. The Lifecycle Support Specialist is responsible for enhancing the customer experience throughout the lifecycle of their machine, establishing themselves as a trusted business partner. The ideal candidate is an eager team player with a growing parts and sales aptitude. They must possess an entrepreneurial drive, be self-motivated and work well independently. The Lifecycle Support Specialist is an integral part of the overall Lifecycle team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhance the customer experience by collaborating cross-functionally with all departments and effectively communicating with the customer throughout the lifecycle of their equipment. Effectively carryout customer touchpoints after the sale of a machine, with a focus on parts sales. Utilize the CDK operating system and other available resources to support customer parts sales. Proactively recognize service opportunities and support coordination of the customer's service needs. Cultivate opportunities, oversee, and maintain customer consignment parts inventories. Help increase customer awareness of Vermeer productivity tools, including Confidence Plus, Telematics, Borestore and eCommerce, and coordinate with team members to ensure they are taken care of throughout the life of their machine. Effectively utilize Vermeer programs and resources to build and strengthen customer relationships, establishing oneself as a trusted advisor. Support the coordination of machine operator and maintenance trainings for customers. Provide ongoing tooling and Cutting Edge support, including selling and educating customers on consumables and wear items, aftermarket parts and maintenance items. Develop and maintain working knowledge of the Vermeer equipment line-up and its applications, as well as awareness of competitive products, industry, and business trends. Collaborate with alliance partner resources to fulfill customer needs, including: locators, drilling fluids, tracks, cutting teeth, trencher chains and competitive equipment parts. Utilize the CRM database to identify customers and document lifecycle sales plans and activities. Actively participate in routine training courses as assigned, while continuously seeking out opportunities to learn and develop.
POSITION SKILLS/ ABILITIES
High-level of self-motivation and drive, with ability to make decisions based on the good of the organization. Represent all departments with excellent customer service skills and a teachable attitude. Excellent people management and communication skills for both internal co-workers and external customers and suppliers. Consistent ability to multi-task and work efficiently on a self-directed schedule. High-level computer proficiency with ability to effectively utilize CDK business operating system.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS 1-3
years of experience as a parts/technical specialist, inside/outside parts sales or equivalent in a dealership environment. 1-3 years of experience with Vermeer industrial equipment, or equivalent commercial, agricultural or material handling equipment. Valid driver's license with ability to meet Heartland insurance providers qualifications. Ability to sit, stand, lift and lower repeatedly for extended periods in both internal and external environments. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required. Safety-sensitive
