Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Inventory Parts Clerk to join our dynamic maintenance and operations team. This vital role involves managing and organizing inventory parts essential for vehicle repairs, equipment maintenance, and facility operations. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of inventory records, facilitate efficient procurement processes, and support seamless logistics operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized supply chain environment, utilizing technical knowledge and strong organizational skills to maintain optimal inventory levels and support service excellence. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Manage incoming shipments, verify parts against purchase orders, and ensure proper storage in warehouse facilities. Coordinate with procurement teams to order parts based on demand planning, usage trends, and operational needs. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies, obsolete items, or shortages, and implement corrective actions. Support shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipping labels, tracking deliveries, and managing returns. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to identify parts requirements for repairs and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules to optimize supply chain efficiency. Assist in sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and managing relationships with suppliers. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse management and equipment handling such as forklifts. Maintain detailed data entry of inventory transactions, procurement activities, and supplier information. Support order management system processes for timely fulfillment of parts requests from technicians or service departments. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and accurately. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or supply chain management within automotive repair, manufacturing, or dealership environments. Familiarity with automotive service operations including auto body repair and equipment repair. Hands-on experience with CMMS software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and order management systems. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, and automotive repair processes is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in procurement management, negotiation with suppliers, and demand planning. Experience working with shipping & receiving procedures in a warehouse setting. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive or equipment repair is an advantage. Strong data entry skills combined with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently. Excellent organizational skills complemented by customer service orientation to support internal teams effectively. This position is integral to maintaining operational efficiency through precise inventory management and effective supply chain coordination.
