Outside Sales Location:
New Orleans / Metairie, LA Who We Are We are Mechanical Concepts LLC, an established equipment distribution and service company with a strong track record, now expanding into the South Louisiana market. We are the Factory-authorized service and warranty provider for Daikin equipment. Our new office is based in Metairie, with coverage throughout South Louisiana and the MS Gulf Coast. As part of this growth, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a territory, build relationships, and directly contribute to the success and long-term growth of a local operation backed by an established company. Overview Mechanical Concepts is building a strong HVAC parts operation in the South Louisiana market and is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of a territory and drive its growth This role is focused on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and becoming a trusted resource for contractors, technicians, and service teams across the region. You will take ownership of your territory, work closely with the Parts Store Manager, and play a direct role in building a parts operation that stands out in the market—one that sets a new standard for what a parts department should be. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new customer accounts within the assigned territory Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, technicians, and service teams Conduct regular sales calls, jobsite visits, and customer meetings Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate parts and solutions Generate quotes, follow up consistently, and close sales opportunities Support customers with part identification, availability, and order coordination Expand existing accounts by introducing new products, aftermarket solutions, and replacement opportunities Stay informed on manufacturer updates, product changes, and service bulletins Monitor market activity, competitor positioning, and customer feedback Maintain organized records of customer interactions, quotes, and opportunities Take ownership of territory performance and consistently work to grow market share Qualifications Experience in HVAC parts sales, HVAC service, or a related parts industry preferred Proven ability to build relationships and generate sales in a customer-facing or field role Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with contractors and technicians Self-motivated with the ability to manage time, prioritize, and work independently Comfortable in a fast-paced, field-driven sales environment Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and related systems) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Compensation and Benefits Base salary plus performance-based incentive tied directly to sales growth and account development Paid bi-weekly (base) Company vehicle, gas card, phone and laptop Paid vacation Health insurance (50% company-paid for employee or family; eligibility after 90 days) Long-term disability coverage (60% of salary; 100% company-paid after 90 days) $20,000 company-paid life insurance (after 90 days) 401(k) after one year with up to 4% company match Profit-sharing contribution (historically funded; typically ~3% annually) 8 paid holidays (eligible after 90 days) Work Environment Full-time, field-based role covering the New Orleans / Metairie area and surrounding regions, with regular interaction at the parts store and customer locations.
