$60-80k base, total compensation $120k+ About the Opportunity Join a growing diesel repair and service provider specializing in diagnostics, maintenance, DOT inspections, and roadside support for heavy-duty trucks and fleets. This team is known for fast response times, reliability, and keeping customers safely on the road. As the company continues to expand, they are adding an Outside Sales Representative to drive new business and strengthen relationships across the region. Position Overview This is a field-based sales role focused on prospecting, relationship-building, and closing new business within the commercial trucking and fleet space. You will act as the key connection between customers and the service team - identifying needs, communicating capabilities, and ensuring a high level of responsiveness and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Prospect and generate new business with fleet managers, owner-operators, and commercial accounts Build and maintain long-term customer relationships Identify customer pain points and position service offerings as solutions Collaborate with technicians and shop leadership to align on capabilities and timelines Communicate service scope, turnaround times, and job updates to customers Coordinate service requests, including urgent and roadside needs Develop working knowledge of diesel systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension) Track pipeline activity, follow-ups, and sales performance Support quoting by gathering accurate job and service details Maintain consistent communication with existing accounts to drive repeat business Qualifications Prior sales experience preferred (automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or related industries) Strong interest in or ability to learn diesel repair and fleet service operations Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close business Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role Strong communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop/field environments Preferred Experience Experience selling to fleets, trucking companies, or industrial clients Familiarity with diesel engines or heavy-duty repair processes Background in service-based or operational environments
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
