Parts Counterman for Jay Wolfe Toyota Kansas City

Jay Wolfe Toyota of Kansas City is seeking an experienced Parts Counterperson to add to our parts team. This position is a full-time position with benefits (waiting period applies), working between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, including some weekends. The Parts Counterperson's role is to support the Parts Department's day-to-day operation, reporting to the Parts Manager. In compliance with established policies and procedures, this role is heavily focused on proactive customer service. Key activities include parts identification and sourcing, answering customer questions, complete parts order requests, and providing solutions to both internal service department parts needs and over-the-counter customers. Exceeding customer expectations in solving their parts needs with a positive and proactive solution-oriented approach is a daily department's daily goal.

Rate:

based on experience. Minimum starting rate would be $17.00/hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Assists customers in selecting and purchasing parts. Places special orders for parts. Reads appropriate manuals to ascertain type and specification of part. Provides pricing and product information to customers. Dispenses parts to the service department and body shop. Orders out-of-stock parts requested by customers. Assists in taking inventory. Meets departmental production and profitability goals. Answers telephone promptly and consistent with dealership guidelines. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area Participates in required training Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Company's Core Values Complies with Company policies and procedures Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
