This includes receiving, inventory management, and ensuring accurate and timely availability of parts needed for repair jobs. The role is critical to maintaining workflow efficiency, controlling costs, and supporting quality repairs. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Track inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories Manage parts storage to ensure organization and easy retrieval Identify and manage obsolete, excess, or damaged inventory Receiving & Quality Control Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders Inspect parts for damage or defects upon arrival Label and stage parts for specific repair orders Process returns, credits, and warranty claims efficiently Workflow Coordination Work closely with estimators, technicians, and production managers Ensure parts are available in alignment with repair schedules Communicate delays or backorders and provide alternative solutions Support timely vehicle delivery and customer satisfaction Vendor & Cost Management Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers Monitor parts margins and control costs Maintain preferred vendor programs and agreements Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities Administrative Duties Maintain accurate documentation in shop management systems Track parts usage, returns, and credits Generate reports on inventory, expenses, and performance metrics Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (required) Associate degree in business, automotive, or related field (preferred) 2-5+ years experience in automotive parts, collision repair, or dealership parts department Previous supervisory or management experience (preferred) Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes Excellent organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy in ordering and tracking Strong communication and team collaboration skills Proficiency with shop management systems and inventory software Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions Primarily based in a collision repair shop environment Regular lifting of parts and materials (up to 50 lbs) Frequent standing, walking, and use of warehouse/storage areas Exposure to shop noise and equipment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Parts accuracy rate Cycle time (repair completion speed) Inventory turnover rate Parts gross profit margin Return rate and ordering accuracy On-time delivery of parts to production
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
