Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Marine Service Writer/Parts & Service Coordinator to join our vibrant team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for marine service customers, expertly managing service writing, parts coordination, and customer communication. Your expertise will ensure seamless service operations, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare detailed service estimates and repair orders for marine engines and systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Coordinate parts procurement, inventory management, and order tracking to support timely repairs and maintenance. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, recommend additional services, and upsell maintenance packages. Collaborate with technicians to understand repair requirements, diagnose issues, and ensure proper documentation of work performed. Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person, providing expert guidance on marine service options and scheduling appointments. Maintain comprehensive records of all service transactions, parts orders, and customer interactions to ensure transparency and accountability. Assist in inventory control by monitoring parts levels, ordering supplies as needed, and verifying incoming shipments. Requirements Proven dealership experience as a Marine Service Writer or Service Advisor (Required) Hands-on knowledge of major outboard brands: Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda Strong understanding of marine diagnostics, repairs, and service timelines Experience managing or assisting in Parts & Service operations Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues and enhancing client satisfaction Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-volume service department
