Order parts, schedule deliveries to suit maintenance requirements or pick up parts from local vendors as required. Communicate Review parts requests issued by Mechanics. Determine requirements based on engine size and other specifications and instructions provided. Determine availability within inventory. Research parts availability and process with established vendors and locate new vendors as required to secure appropriate parts at reasonable prices. status of parts requests to initiating Mechanic to avoid maintenance delays. Create and maintain documentation for requisition of parts on active purchase orders for routine purchases. Maintain data and records related to field purchase orders and blanket purchase orders. Document purchases against specific purchase orders. Received, check and sign for incoming parts, record receipts and place in designated storage location. Review parts, invoices, validate receipt and code and issue for payment, prepare shipment as required to return parts to vendors or for shipment of other goods as required. Contract carrier and schedule pick of shipments. Review and validate parts used log. Confirm that listed parts are removed from inventory record, verify pricing and determine quantity remaining in inventory. Determine the requirement to reorder standard parts for inventory based on designated inventory levels. Reconcile inventory records to physical counts, ensure the required adjustments are made to manual records. Ensure the recording of fuel receipts. Monitor fuel usage and place fuel orders as required to maintain established quantities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent 3-4 years of inventory control experience Experience in an automated warehouse or inventory control environment desired Valid Driver's License Methods, materials, equipment and safety procedures utilized in the maintenance and repair of AC/DC Profile The Maintenance Parts Manager is responsible for controlling and maintaining the inventory of spare parts, maintenance materials and supplies, working within the limitations of standard practice.
