Auto Dealer Parts Counterperson

Join the dynamic Parts and Service team at Sansone Jr's 66 ! We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Counterperson. In this role, you will perform a variety of customer service, technician support, and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories. Your daily efforts will directly contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of our dealership's Parts and Service department. Key Responsibilities Sell products and services to resolve vehicle issues and meet customer needs. Maintain customer goodwill by warmly greeting and acknowledging everyone you encounter. Assist in keeping the parts department clean, organized, and running smoothly. Record all sales and customer transactions accurately. Provide service technicians with the correct parts as required to complete their repair orders. Assist the Parts Manager in setting up and maintaining attractive merchandising displays. Process cores, warranties, and new return merchandise efficiently. Attend management-prescribed training to maintain and elevate job proficiency. Operate all dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently. Track parts usage carefully to eliminate overstocking and prevent stale inventory. Maintain clear, professional communication with managers, technicians, and the wider parts department. Build lasting relationships with both customers and vendors through positive daily encounters. Handle day-to-day operations related to ordering parts and ensuring their immediate accessibility for the Technician Department. Manage and execute e-commerce order fulfillment promptly. Physical Demands & Working Environment Ability to work in a shop environment where the noise level is usually loud and conditions can be dirty. Requires the full use of both hands for handling tools, parts, and materials. Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and handling of equipment. Ability to frequently lift materials in excess of 40 lbs. Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery on a frequent basis. Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials, or other toxic materials commonly found in motor vehicle service departments. Occasional exposure to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
